where the soul never dies...

2.25.2010

this was my kind of morning.
oh, this foggy shroud stirred my soul.
it wrapped me up,
whispered to my heart that this is it.
this is what makes everything worth it.
still. gray. calm.
this is what makes you see the world
in colors you never noticed before.
this is what pricks your senses,
allowing you to hear every bird song
and ripple on the water.
this is it.

You are such a talent!

i've been wondering, how much do you photoshop your photos, and if not a lot, what are your camera settings like? (in general.) These really make me want to take a walk by some sort of body of water! You are blessed to be able to include walks like these in your days, especially because it looks like you are in the midsts of such naked beauty.
I live in philadelphia and places like the ones in your pictures are not in walking distance.

Wow Ann, you look so pretty. I'm pretty lucky to have my sister-in-law be a model and a photographer.

Ann Marie said...

vanesa,
this series of photos i photoshopped more than i usually do...usually i post what comes straight out of the camera. it's hard to write succinctly about camera settings because each photo is totally different, and i use a variety of cameras (both film and digital) and i use lots of different lenses.
this series is a result of me playing around on photoshop more than usually, trying to see how i can use photoshop as a modern darkroom.
