Two weeks from today, on December 19th, there will be a protest at the BLM Salt Lake City office. What are we protesting? The auction of land in southern Utah. The BLM has recalled some of the RPM's, but we want the land auctions delayed so that there can be more analysis on the land. Most of all, we want the land to be free of drilling, oil shale, and tar sands.
I have pictures here of women suffragates protesting, why? Because we respect the women suffragates, and what they did for us. We see them as noble. Today, thanks to the hippie movement, people often think of protests as something for those who are "crazy." Protests are for all of us...it is our duty as citizens.

Basically, it is our DUTY to protest when the government infringes on our rights. I do not want the government to misuse this beautiful earth that is here for us to enjoy and to be stewards over. My soapbox: stop buying things you don't need, stop throwing away things that aren't broken, stop developing new homes (re-model instead), live close to all your shopping needs so you don't have to drive your car so much (and invest in one of these if you have kids).
