Crossing My Fingers

1.08.2008

This past winter solstice we made a yule log wish. This is a tradition that I think is originally Scandinavian (but don't rely on me as a source for that). You write down a wish you have for the coming year and attach it to a yule log. And after everyone has done so, all the yule logs are tossed into the fire and the ashes carry the wish away--hopefully sending it to the powers that be to make your wish come true.

Our wish: TO IRELAND WE GO!

Hurrah for Ireland! Hurrah for traditions! Hurrah-Hurrah for Ann Marie who loves traditions for the sake of traditions and worries not from whence they came! Peace & Love
