when i went to the city i learned that i need to trust myself more...

2.05.2010

this workshop has already taught me so much...priceless.
lesson learned: stop doubting myself.

i was in the bay area for 24 hours,
and i only took 6 pictures.
why?
after my 2-hour drive i was tired,
and the clouds and light weren't cooperating
so i gave in to laziness and vietnamese food.

on my way home i tried to stop by these lovely gardens
to take some photos,
but they were closed for the "winter"...
missed their opening by one week.
{who knew that coastal california had a winter?}
but i'll be back soon to wander through it, gratefully.

did you enjoy san francisco..you said you ate vietnamese..(spelled wrong here)...was it The Slanted Door? That was some of the BEST food I ever ate...in the Ferry Building...

and I loved reading about your piano..which btw..i have white hrydrangeas on my piano right now...

i used to have a baby grand..so beautiful...but we moved...to a small Farmhouse..baby grand had to go..i cried and cried...
have a piano again..a little upright...it really isn't the same..but..i tell myself..there are worse things in the world...way worse...so don't complain, kary..you're lucky to have what you have...

your list for the weekend looks like mine...

enjoyed my visit here...as always

have a great weekend...

sadly, i did not get to eat at the slandted door this time, but i have before and it is BY FAR the best vietnamese i have EVER had.

glad you have a piano at least, but sorry you had to say goodbye to such a beauty...i'll have to leave mine behind if we ever move, but i try not to think about it.

i love love love SF. that's a city that'll get your creative juices flowing. and ya know? sometimes, it's not about taking the perfect picture - it's about living the moment. i consider eating vietnamese food in SF a very vibrant and alive moment. :)

I love that top picture there, and that saying! It goes so well with my last post :)

Thank you for sharing!

haha that's me right there! in the black shirt holding my camera.

the class kind of terrifies me to be honest. and I haven't done any of the work that I was supposed to for Wednesday.

Camilla,
I haven't done any "assignments" yet either! i've taken lots of photos, but none specific to the class...it's crunch time!
see you tomorrow!
