paris : walking by the louvre & through the tuileries
6.20.2012
we began our paris visit with a trip to the louvre...we didn't go inside because we figure
we'll be back here again soon, and we would prefer to have an entire day just for this
magnificent museum. so we walked slowly through the grounds, and over to the tuileries
where we sat in the shade, and discovered a product design exhibit for gardening miscellany.
what a beautiful morning we had! in the afternoon we headed to the musee d'orsay
where we were able to see a special exhibit of degas' sketches...seriously incredible.
that artist had some magic in his fingers and in his heart. we browsed the rest of the collection,
spending time with great works of art, and finding new little faves.
a beautiful afternoon indeed...
next up, the eiffel tower!

Seeing art in person is the best. The detail is amazing up close. Glad you had a good time. I hope to make it out there someday...
I get so excited when I see you have a post...I know I get to travel somewhere beautiful with you. I love Paris (and everywhere else) through your eyes. The rooftops were amazing!
