ceej and i used airbnb for the first time ever...and we couldn't have been more pleased with it.
while in paris we stayed in a lovely apartment at the top of a charming building in the la marais
neighborhood of paris...we referred to our rooftop home as our "nest." the view from the roof
was absolutely spectacular...seeing paris from above was magical.
la marais was such a great place to stay. there's lots of fantastic boutiques, restaurants, cafes,
and just about everything you need. it's also a few blocks away from notre dame and the siene.
i feel like we really lucked out since cj or i have never been to paris before, and i felt like i
really had no idea what i was doing when looking for a place to stay.
paris surprised me. i knew i would like it...but i didn't know i would love it.
for the next few days i'll show you how we spent our full two days in paris, strolling through
the streets, the sites, and the food!

I can't believe how often I fall in love with Paris, over and over again...the rooftops are magical. You have also spurred me to re-read Mr.Hemingway, it's been a while! I think you get so much more from a book or perhaps just different things, depending on your age and attitude in that moment. Sorry burbling aren't I?
