our holly is getting married so we went to the mountains to celebrate...

6.18.2012

i can't think of a better place to have a bridal shower...and i can't think of better women to spend an evening with. so happy for holly jo and her upcoming wedding {though i'm broken-hearted i won't be able to make the actual wedding. so so sad.}

everyone brought such delicious and nourishing food...a few of us had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the table {especially from that goat cheese and fig jam--heaven!}
i met so many new wonderful women as well, and i want to collect them all to join a little mountain picnic club...what do ye say, women? let's gather more often. in the mountains. with delicious food.

so happy for holly jo. she's an amazing woman who has found a sweet mountain man to spend the rest of her life with.

{tomorrow:  the paris photo extravaganza begins!}

{watched this documentary about powerful women who brought about mighty change in a war-torn country. i love a good storm. i love women!}

I adore your photos! And love seeing all the nature as I am stuck in the city for the moment and long to be in the mountains! And in the mountains with women? Do tell, what mountains are these? Are you in the States?

Thanks, Lacey! Yes, I'm in the States...in Salt Lake City, UT...the best city to live in if you love the mountains because they are literally out your back door. This is up Big Cottonwood Canyon in the Wasatch Mountains.

Wow! Beautiful pics!! Looks like a great time! I'm such a fan of the mountains because I grew up in Florida and the closest thing we have to a mountain is a big hill ! Lol

I love this idea. It's so elegant but laid back at the same time. I just threw a bridal shower and I wish thought to do something like this. It looks like a perfect afternoon/evening.
