the old bodleian & the radcilffe camera : taking oaths and basically studying where hermoine did

7.12.2011

yes, this is the library i get to use this summer,
and, yes, i had to take an oath (promising, among other things, not to light fire to anything).
this place is closed off to tourists (mostly)
and is a wonderful place to study.
the duke humfrey's library is where i favorite wizards & witches spent their time here.
no big deal. (not to mention all the killer original manuscripts this library owns!).

so much more to show you all:
a shakespeare play in stratford starring one of these brilliant actors,
a visit to a place that inspired this book and this book

see you soon!

In grad school, I schemed to create a fake research project that might get me into the Bodleian. Never made it :) Have a magnificent time!

So envious over here! Of course if was me, I'd probably be too caught up in my surroundings to get much studying in.
