we stayed in a little home in inverness, ca
that's almost 100-years-old...
out our front window was tomales bay {the tide was out},
and the yard was a beautiful garden
with a chicken coop to boot.
every morning was fresh fruit, fresh eggs, toast, and juice.
our hostess had a wonderful quirk for keeping everything:
magazines from 1983, books of vinyl records, cassette tapes,
sea shells were everywhere.
our eyes were never want of something to gaze at.
and did i mention the rain?
it didn't stop.
i loved it...it poured down heavy drops...
so heavy i couldn't manage a photo of the front of our
cute yellow side-board b&b.
and film was out of the question as the film residing in my cameras
at this moment was too slow of a speed for the dark lighting brought
on by the clouds and rain.
but i still love the rain.
always.

I've never been to California but this is so far from my idea of what it's like that I'm completely intrigued! Beautiful photographs!

Beautiful pictures. How lovely xx
Absolutely lovely! I love the rain but the way you describe it makes me want to dance in it right now.
And I just went to their website and you really need to show them your photos so they can use them. Yours are so much better!
The best photos, yet. Your subject matter creates nostalgia and a warmth of good things.
These are really beautiful fotos! I love the soft creams and fading distances. I can almost breath in the fresh air!
it's a lovely place ! really I like this king of weather when you were at home doing nothing or watch movies and drink tea or hot chocolate !
Wonderfully evocative photos!
Hello, I love your blog, and these photographs are just gorgeous!
I'm loving everything you've done girlie!
Oh, it is so nice to meet another soul who loves the rain as much as I do. People think I'm weird...I think people don't appreciate such beauty.
And that fourth picture...oh my. So beautiful.
