Knitting Groups?
12.05.2008
Every winter I get an incredible urge to take up knitting. Problem is, I tried it once, for five minutes, six years ago, and wasn't perfectly knitting away...so I gave up. Perfectionist? Mostly. Anyhoo, I do really want to be able to knit scarves, sweaters, etc (not to mention all those cute baby clothes once the kiddies start coming along!). I'm wanting to attend classes here. But it might be fun to make a knitting group while I'm living in SLC next semester...any knitters out there who are willing to add a novice to their group?

if you find any welcoming knitters, see if they'll take another novice...
i have the same annual urge and history with the sport. perfectionists unite!
I'm soooo glad to have a buddy...perhaps we should start the "almost vegan knitting club"...yes?
yes!
You could get an enrichment class together in Relief Society. There are women that would love to teach you and anyone else. You can also choose the time and place to have your group. All those older women that you love can be your teacher. I'd go with you.
I love the idea of a knitting group! I want to learn too. Crocheting is easier I think, and I can do that, but I prefer the way a knit looks and it's what my Grandmother did. What a fun thing to do a group! I can imagine a bunch of girls watching old movies and knitting together, so fun!
Anne! I've been reading your blog for a bit, and it's good to hear you're coming back to slc for a time. I crochet, but I also would love to learn to knit. If you decide to start a group, I'd love to join.
Sweaters, scarves, slippers...warmth. I would love to start knitting. I am a very basic crocheter, but you can do so much with knitting. Yes...count me in as long as you are okay with a beginner.
