Please CLICK HERE to see what happened to some of our friends in Denver during the Democratic Convention. Warning: there are a couple swear-words, but watch it anyway, and read the entire post please.
WOW...so reminiscent of the sixties! I never can understand why peaceful protests and marches are met with such resistance and violent measures! Why does it so often turn ugly?! It's terrible. I guess a large, impassioned crowd makes local authorities nervous. Still, it's too bad. We should have the right to gather, march, speak out...so long as we don't block traffic or burn stuff.
The police feed off the moment and each other. They get excited and they end up feeding the protestors who feel threatened which makes them even more mad and so on. If the state would just let people walk there would be no problem.
This was a chance for the Denver police to finally use their riot gear.
