Last Friday night Ceej and I went to a kirtan just a couple blocks away led by one of my favorite women, Gangotri. A kirtan is a gathering of people to chant and sing sacred sanskrit mantras. Most of the mantras we sang were in honor of different Hindu gods and divine within ourselves. I loved this kirtan because it was oh so simple and real. There were no gimmicks, and there was indeed a feeling of sacredness. Love it. Hope we get to go to more.
