preparing for the big day : ginger & short breads

12.21.2011

i've only been baking for two days...which is enough for me.
i'm happy to have some tasty treats to have around the house and to pass out to neighbors.
and now i am also happy to finish the eternal dishwashing that came along with making such lovely treats.

we're off to a birthday party and merry making into town.

Yummmmmm! You are such a tease to show those lovely cookies and not share the recipes! : )
On second thought...then I would be tempted to make them...never mind.

The lemon poppyseed shortbread recipe came from a Martha Stewart magazine a few years back...as soon as I get some time I'll type out the recipe for y'all :)
