christmas is here and how i can't wait for dark to come

11.26.2011

we wasted no time getting out the christmas decorations this year.
last year i didn't get to decorate as we were right in the middle
of our move from california to utah...so it's been two years
since i've seen my favorite christmas decorations.

i loved having boxes scattered about, ella singing silent night in the background,
ceej helping me fix my insufficient hanging jobs, and then finally
sitting on the couch together admiring how festive this little home has become.

i really can't wait for evening to come and for the sun to set so we
can turn on all of our pretty little twinkle lights.

ceej gets to go to europe tomorrow for a week of business meetings in lovely countries...
jealous indeed. but at least i have my pretty little christmas house to console me.

Love.love.love your simple yet elegant take on things. You make it look fun and inviting. Somehow my Christmas decorating seems complicated, demanding, overwhelming...It makes me want to pull my hair out actually. Can I just come to your house for the holidays?

Enchanting as always! Did you make your musical bird bunting? I suppose the buttons helps give it some weight. I love the day I decorate, but mine is about a week away.

First I must thank you for you comments and visiting my blog.
I love your blog and how you have decorated for the holidays. Your musical doves, the twinkle lights are wonderful. I get absolutely child-like when it comes to the holidays. This year I am making all my gifts. (I think I should have started in May instead of August).
I am envious of your skiing. I loved to ski but have been held back the last few years due to a foot surgery. I have a log home just 25 miles from Snoqualmie Pass.Hope your holidays are merry and bright. Sharon

I love your decorations (& the blog)!
How did you string up the lights? Do you have a trick to save the walls or just use push pins?

Thanks
