wind rivers [part one] : the aftermath of a brilliantly furious storm
9.06.2012
ceej and i spent the long weekend in the mountains of wyoming...in the wind rivers.
what a place. those peaks are incredible. and the big sandy river. be still my heart.
this place feels like a home of long ago. i felt so comfortable here with ceej--
even when the lightning was flashing, the thunder cracking immediately, and the hail
came pummeling down on our tent. oh, bless our tent for keeping us dry.
what a ride that storm gave us. so happy we had our tent set up just thirty minutes
before the big storm hit. the storm's fury lasted for about thirty minutes, and then it
let up to just a lovely little sprinkle--at which point ceej and i ventured out of the
tent to watch the clouds move over the mountains and the raindrops fall into the lake.
this storm brought fall. it feels so good to have these initial moments of cooling temperatures
and changing leaves. we enjoyed some noodle soup and hot cocoa together that night.
welcome, welcome, welcome fall.

perfect quotes.
You have beautiful photography, and I love the quotes! Would you mind sharing that beautiful font you used for the script (I'm always on the lookout for pretty fonts for class use) (I'm an art teacher) Thanks for the beautiful thoughts.
We had a big storm in RI yesterday. Looking at these photos makes me wish I'd captured it! These are gorgeous.

such a beautiful and peaceful landscape. i've been so fascinated by fog lately, even though we don't get hardly any of it here in florida. i'll just have to enjoy the photos for now.

Hey Susan,
The font I used for the quotes is called "Jane Austen." If you Google it it should be pretty easy to find.
What a wonderfully moody post, just perfect for a slow transition into fall.
