wind rivers : cirque of the towers
9.12.2012
after our rainy night camping at big sandy lake we continued up the mountains
to visit the cirque of the towers...especially to say hello to pingora.
the sun was out, and the wind was whipping (one reason we decided not to climb any peaks).
those high mountain lakes are such a treat to see, especially in contrast to the barrenness
of such elevation. a lake in the middle of a boulder field is a lovely thing indeed.
as we approached the cirque, ceej and i agreed that the landscape reminded us
of our ancestoral highlands in scotland. kinda got me thinking of hopping over the pond.
hoping to give you the list of things to pack/not-to-pack tomorrow...so stay tuned!

you are a real photographer. I would buy a book of your travels/journey. have you thought about publishing?
Breathtaking!
I'm so happy I'll be in the mountains in 3 days, missed them
Thank you for generously taking us along!
