my day in london was a blast. thank you for all the wise suggestions!
we started in covent garden, browsing through the covered market,
and then we made our way to the seven dials area where i fell
victim to two pairs of new shoes...they just lept into my hands!
we spent some time in the tate modern. so so so wonderful.
and we ended up eating dinner at a turkish restaurant
just across the street from the globe.
alls well that ends well was fantastic.
it was certainly more upbeat than the other shakespeare
plays we've been seeing. they've all been wonderful,
but i was definitely happy for something lighter.
i'm off to tintagel and st. ives for the weekend...
should be lovely!

I recognized Covent Garden right away. I loved it as a teenager, but I'm sure I would absorb and love it so much more now.
Safe travels.
Ann! You are making me NEED to go to London right now! It sounds like this is an amazing experience-lots of discovering and exploring.
thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures in this forum. it inspires me and keeps me coming back for more...
I'm sooo jealous! (Glad to see you're savouring every second!) Question - the stamps? Where was this?
Also what are you studying at Oxford?
gorgeous, you look like you are having the best of times. i love all the pics but the inside of the theater shots made me want to jump on a plane- how i love the arts so much!
gorgeous ann marie!
Glad you enjoyed your time in London, and went home with some souvenirs! St Ives has another Tate! Also make sure you eat a pasty, they are So good.
Fantastic post!!!
That was all in a day?! Wow!
Good for you! Enjoy every minute!
Did you sit or stand at the Globe? We chose the hard benches on the main floor.
Tintagel is the most beautiful place I visited in Britain. I couldn't believe how magical. Just right for the birthplace of a legend. Have a marvelous time!

The stamps were at a flea market in Covent Gardens...they were fantastic! I bought a ship and a tree :)
