i took these photos a while back
when ceej and i spent a sunday afternoon
at drakes beach in point reyes national seashore.
we love point reyes, and will miss it deeply when we go.

i've been thinking about cold wind
from both mountains and the sea,
and how ready i am to wear the same
sweater day after day.
...................................................................
i've been thinking about music,
listening to cellos and violins
while closing my eyes and humming along.
....................................................................
i've been thinking about words,
the best words in the best order,
reading aloud and hoping someday
i find what it is i most want to say.
......................................................................
i've been thinking about how easily
i am moved to tears lately,
everyday i am overcome with gratitude and awe
for little things.
........................................................................
i've been thinking how lucky i am
to be alive and to see the things i see,
to know the people i know,
though they are few in number,
they are great in soul.
.........................................................................
i've been thinking about today.
how much i love that word, today.
that's all i have to think about and that's
all i have to worry about.
i just want to make today simply beautiful,
and give it my best.

Point Reyes is so beautiful. I've only been there once and it started raining while we were there, so we didn't spend too long. Anyway, just wanted to let you know I've featured your wallpaper made of pages of books on my blog :)
