i am knitting like the first frosts have already fallen on unharvested squash.
i tell people i am in a knitting class and loving it.
they want to know what i'm making.
"i've made gloves, a hat, and now i'm working on a sweater."
they look at me sideways,
"oh, just in time for summer?"
i'm feeling quite like the ant, and pittying those grasshoppers.
when the cold comes,
i'll be ready.
did you hear? i'm working on a sweater!!

85 degrees in Sacramento on Sunday (or monday, can't remember). It surely is upon us! I plan on knitting all my wintery/fall things over the summer too.
My goodness, girl, you're a go getter! Sweaters already! (I'd say that you're smart since you'll have your winter wear done just in time to wear it!)
Oh gosh! That hat is most excellent!!! Knit on! Knit on!
At least you'll be prepared! ;)
Love your blog.

well at least you've been prepared for all this lovely rain and mist and thunder and hail we've been getting in northern california! true, it may be suddenly hit 80 this weekend but that's may for ya!
Wahoo! Just *look* at that hat- would you ever so much mind sharing where you found that pattern? It's such a marvelous hat (you know I love myself a hat with TASSELS). Keep it up all summer long and you'll be the coziest little nutbrown squirrel this winter.
Great knitting! I love knitting, too.
Are you on Ravelry yet? (like facebook for knitters) my username is tesssset if you make a profile.
hihihi... and I can't wait to see your new sweater ;)
