a week of sun brought spring into our lives before a week of rain came down on us today...

2.23.2010

the magnolia trees are exploding all over our city.
it's quite beautiful.
the other blossoms are close behind.
i have a feeling we'll be having a prolonged spring...
which is wonderful indeed.

we've had days and days of sun,
but now our much needed rain is back today.

for those of you in the midst of snowy winters,
take a walk in your neighborhood with your
boots, scarves, mittens, and hats for me.
i miss my winter.

Oh my!!!! What awesome photos! They make me yearn for our colors to start popping (which should be in a couple of weeks). I wouldn't mind one more snowfall, though. ;-)

I took a lovely walk up a very snowy road yesterday, but I'll admit while you are pining for winter, I am terribly jealous of your spring, especially with all those gorgeous magnolias . . . they are my FAVORITE!! well, close tie with lilacs.

I have never seen a real cherry blossom tree & I can just imagine how the aroma from the flowers fill the air as you walk by it. These are beautiful photos.

Stunning photos! It has been pretty around here lately, hasn't it? The rain took me completely by surprise today. One last hurrah before spring descends for good?

Beautiful photos...we have yet another dreary day of snow and rain and sleet... your magnolias are a reprieve!... Be careful what you wish for..

I can almost smell those magnolias! We too have had an extremely mild winter and I missed that hit of a snowy walk in the woods...by the way...you never know what Irish connections we may have...its a small world indeed!
