'tis the season: at celia jane's {part two}

12.22.2009

christmas morning:
dolls, dolls, dolls!
oh, the excitement!

entranced by the train
going round and round,
wrapping paper ripped open and forgotten.

this photo is a few years later...
now there are boys in the family.
don't you just love their serious faces?!

then comes that silent moment after the craziness of gift-opening
when everyone is lost in their new toys.
{notice superman playing with his new farm!}

then the cousins come over,
and the excitement continues...

and here comes the little drummer boy.

thank you celia jane for such a wonderful legacy!

I see they upgraded the TV : )
The kids are all so beautifully dressed... I wonder if they had to dress before opening gifts?

it's amazing that those pictures are such high-quality. we have a large box of old family photos, but they aren't nearly as colorful and detailed!

Yes, the TV was upgraded after about five or six years. You will also notice a different wall paper, carpet, etc. Grandpa had just finished remodeling the house. I thought it was beautiful. The original house was about 750 sq. feet, two bedrooms, one bath. It was nearly doubled in size, adding a bedroom, bathroom, enlarging the living room. Also, the red-headed boy was the neighborhood best friend, Morris Decker. The moms coordinated it all so we could play with the same toys. I should still have grandma dress me. I never looked as good as I did when she was in charge. Yes, we had to eat breakfast, get dressed before opening the gifts.
