Jumping In!

6.11.2008

Ok. I know you're probably a bit tired of my culinary posts. Just one more. For now.

I bought a few cook books the other day.
1) Bread books. Bread is a daily necessecity, but the most complicated by far. I'm quite intimidated by this "science". Science was never my forte, and I hope this weakness will turn into a strength as I give this an enduring and patient effort.
2)Nigella Lawson. Who doesn't want to be a Domestic Goddess? I certainly do.
3) Tartine. I'll need some sweets to nibble on along the way.
4) Raw Foods. Something I've always wanted to learn more about. I like the idea of making my own almond milk, and eating things that are oh so fresh.

Now, I know there's some of you out there who know something I don't...any cookbook suggestions?

oooo, I am excited to read about your bread endeavors...I can't wait to see how this all turns out. Oh and Nigella really is a goddess.

I LOVE cookbooks! I would recommend Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara
Kingsolver. I already mentioned this book to you before, I think, but I hadn't started it. Now I can say it's amazing! I'm devouring it, it's literally making me go out and search
for the freshest Utah grown asparagus available! Though not a cookbook, it's all about good, natural, whole foods and is very inspiring!
